fossils

There are areas here on the edge of the Canadian Shield, where one can find the tailings of the ice-age: drumlins, eskers and moraines. The bedrock here is mostly Palaeozoic limestone, but not far north of here a transition occurs to Precambrian granite bedrock. Below, some fossil inclusions in a basketball-sized rock. Fossils are easy to find in the rocks around here.
