"I thank You God for most this amazing day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes"

I am a writer, artist, gardener and wounded healer with a special interest in the natural world, the re-enchantment of design, and healthy, fabulous food. My home is my garden and workshop, and I use my travels as inspiration. I enjoy stepping off the beaten path to discover the unexpected and to re-connect with the awesome power of Nature to rejuvenate my soul.

Wow, that Bible has everything!
Peonies! Oh how I miss them.
Some people manage to raise them here, but they're rare. Tree peonies, which do well in this climate, are great but they're another thing entirely.
We were downcoast a bit in Pescadero a month or so ago, and I got to bury my nose in a peony blossom. Instant flashback to childhood in Pennsylvania.
Fortunately the flower didn't have any ants on it. Not that I ever let those stop me way back when.
Oh, it would be a mistake,e4, to believe the bible "approves" of that sort of behavior. just demonstrates how easy it is to use quotes from the bible out of context!!
ron, I can scarcely afford to look at the tree peonies in the catalogue! sheesh, they're expensive! I'm very glad to be able to enjoy the herbacious peonies I have.
