"I thank You God for most this amazing day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes"

I am a writer, artist, gardener and wounded healer with a special interest in the natural world, the re-enchantment of design, and healthy, fabulous food. My home is my garden and workshop, and I use my travels as inspiration. I enjoy stepping off the beaten path to discover the unexpected and to re-connect with the awesome power of Nature to rejuvenate my soul.

We are waiting for the rain, too. Some places around us received a little the other day, but not us. :(
Gorgeous pictures. Those trilliums... well, my Dad called me last night: "Grandma says you need to get your ass back home immediately." We have the kind of relationship where this just made me laugh and answer, "Oh yeah? Why is that?" His answer: "Granny says that the woods is just exploding with flowers, and she knows you love it this way so you need to come home and see it!" (Grandma lives next door to my parents.)
To make a long story short... your picture is doing a wonderful job of "taking me back" since I can't actually make the drive this weekend. :)
Oh, Kim, you must get out to see them. The leaves are just busting out on the trees and soon the trilliums will do their disappearing act!!
