note to self...

This struck me as funny all over again. Here's an actual entry in my diary from July 12/07:

The power went out on Tuesday. Because I wanted to read in bed, I gathered half a dozen candles, put them on my bedside table and read by candlelight. After a while, tired and ready to sleep, I took off my glasses and blew out the candles. What I didn't know was that when I blew out the candles I sent a fine spray of wax droplets onto the overnight table, the water glass and my glasses ! What's worse, I walked around all day yesterday like that, oblivious, with fine spots of wax all over my glasses....groan....

I think I've had days like that. :-)

I am "visiting" gardens tonight - I enjoyed your closeup photos, and of the deer. Nice!

There's something quite lovely about being oblivious - and only realising afterward what you were doing.

On the weekend,I went grocery shopping with one brown clog on my left foot and a green sandal on the right. Thankfully no one seemed to notice, except my son on my return home. All he said was, "I'm glad I wasn't with you".

garden lily, I'm always relieved that I'm not the only one who has days like that, LOL! I'm not always that...sure of myself...!

clare, I'm overwhelmed and pleased as punch to be nominated! I'll indulge in a bit of boasting a.s.a.p.!

kate, oh my goodness, you made me laugh! It's too bad your son feels that way...I'm willing to bet that if anybody noticed, it might have been the jumping-off point for a good shared laugh at the very least. Your son will learn to love and appreciate those moments when he's a bit older.
